LiveHealthyPA was developed after conversations between
Pennsylvania Department of Health staff and external partners indicated that
there was a need for a centralized location to store the activities addressing
chronic disease occurring throughout Pennsylvania. It was determined that a website where
partners could share their activities and review activities of others would
address the need.
Partners sharing their knowledge and activities with each
other is the primary goal of the website.
The LiveHealthyPA Healthy Living Practices Database was created as the
core component of the website to accomplish this goal. Healthy Living Practices provides a way for
partners to submit their activities as well as providing a search feature
allowing partners to find chronic disease activities occurring in Pennsylvania.
The target audience for LiveHealthyPA is communities,
schools, organizations, and business.
LiveHealthyPA provides programs, data, and resources to help these
target audiences address challenges in improving the health of their members.
